Who We Are:
The Barkett Family Foundation was founded by George and Sue Barkett, in __________. Dr.
George and Sue loved their city of Vero Beach and Indian River County, Florida. They were
active volunteers. Dr. Barkett was a board-certified orthodontist and award-winning Rotarian.
Mrs. Sue Bull Barkett was a charter member of the local DAR and the local Rose Circle of the
Garden Club. The family were, and some of the family still are, a member of Trinity Episcopal
Church. We are a family foundation that supports the health and well-being of our citizens through
education, healthcare, and the protection and restoration of our ecosystems for today and for
generations to come.

stewards of fiscal and intellectual resources. We expect ourselves, our partners, and our

The Barkett Family Foundation has thrived under the fiscal stewardship of its
successors, trustees Kirby Kenney and Andrea Barkett.
